Who We Are
Two Lights Foundation was founded as a way to keep the spirit of Zoey and Teigan alive by impacting future students with a Christian education.
The Two Lights Foundation wants students that otherwise could not experience a Christian education to receive scholarships to make it possible. All the money raised will go to Christian education.
Two Lights Foundation believes that a Christian education is the foundation to a full life. A life based on Biblical truths which prepares a person to weather all the seasons of life with clarity and perspective. Thankfully, both Teigan and Zoey had faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. They now know Jesus face to face and it is our dream that future scholarship recipients meet them one day in heaven.
Teigan Martin
Teigan was known to many as a football player, but he was more than that. He had a way of making you feel better about yourself. He had a goofy sense of humor, and his infectious laugh joy to those around him. Teigan loved his family, always protecting and rooting for his little sisters.
Teigan enjoyed school and loved attending Mayer Lutheran because this place helped deepen his relationship with his God. He wanted everyone around him, especially his teammates, to know that relationship also, and so Teigan openly talked about his faith with people. He brought teammates to church. He answered their questions about faith. He pointed them to Jesus each and every day.
On the very day he was called home by his Savior, Teigan said to his friends, “There is truly no better feeling than understanding what you believe in”. Better than all the accolades and stats. Better even than winning a state championship. Teigan had peace in Jesus, in whose arms he forever rests.
Zoey Orth
Zoey was a sassy and funny little 3 year old daughter and sister. She was filled with spunk with a capital “S”. She easily captured the hearts of many people in the community. She loved to come to the football games and cheer on her daddy and the team, or at minimum, play in the dirt with her friends. Back in May of 2022 year, Zoey was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioma Brain Cancer and started the difficult process of trying to treat an incurable horrible disease. The family looked at all options possible to save their little girl, but unfortunately there was no treatment left to help her. The day after her dad’s 40th birthday, Zoey earned her angel wings on August 20, 2022 and is soaring high with our Savior Jesus Christ.
